Coil Cleaning
Your HVAC system is made up of various components that work together to make it function. One defective part can cause your entire system to fail, from the air handler to the evaporator coil. A part of your HVAC system responsible for regulating the temperature of your air is the evaporator coil. In the absence of them, you can quickly find yourself without cooling or with fluctuating temperatures. You can rely on Ducts Cleaning to provide you with quality evaporator coil services. You can count on us to get your system blowing cold again in no time, whether it’s coil cleaning or a complete system replacement.
What Is an Evaporator Coil?
A heat pump or air conditioner’s evaporator coil absorbs heat from the air. Evaporator coils may be mounted on furnaces or air handlers. As the refrigerant passes through, it is its job to hold it in place. Refrigerant is removed from the air when cold air is forced over the coil by the blower.
Cool air is supplied to your home by your AC unit in this way. Once you activate your heating system in the winter, the process is reversed. You would have little control over the temperature inside your home without properly functioning evaporator coils, which is a terrible situation in any season.
How To Tell If Your Evaporator Coil Needs Servicing
Evaporator coils on air handlers aren’t indestructible nor are they immune to dirt. Wear and tear can cause your evaporator coil to become dirty over time. You may need professional help cleaning or repairing your evaporator coil if it displays some of the following signs:
Clogs
Occasionally, dust and debris can clog the evaporator coil, which impedes airflow. As a result, your home won’t receive enough cool air or heat from your HVAC system. The evaporator coil needs to be cleaned professionally at least three times per year to prevent this.
